Sustainable Surfers is an educational series that teaches children of all ages the importance of cleaning up after themselves and others to sustain the health of our oceans.

This unique project began as a series of character illustrations for digital trading cards or non-fungible tokens (NFTs). We quickly identified that the client’s ethos surpassed this one output, and the project expanded to: brand development, website development, story development and copywriting, and social media strategy. Our work together ultimately culminated in the publication of a children’s book.

Keeping the Sustainable Surfer’s brand values in mind, the children’s book publication involved sourcing a high quality, sustainable printer. The book is printed on recycled, FSC certified board, as well as the packaging materials for e-commerce orders.

Children of all ages will enjoy the colorful illustrations and unique characters that help deliver this story’s important message. Bonus activities on the Sustainable Surfers website act as tools to keep the brand’s audience engaged.
