Sakonnet Garden is a “secret” garden in coastal Rhode Island that offers private tours. They approached us with a need for an updated website that integrated their booking platform.

When reviewing their existing website, we identified a need to create a visual identity. Their existing unused assets included a calligraphy mark that they were partial to. As the composition of it reflected the beauty of their garden, we established it as their logomark.

From there, a primary color palette was developed using tones from existing photographs of their gardens. Custom illustrations were drafted to represent their website categories that translated into patterns for secondary visual elements.
